第65回グラミー賞の”Best American Roots Performance部門”にノミネートされていた、アーロン・ネヴィル&ザ・ダーティー・ダズン・ブラス・バンドの“Stompin’ Ground”を聴きたくて探したアルバム。
このアルバムはニューオリンズの音楽について描かれた、長編ドキュメンタリー映画のサウンドトラックとのことで、2枚組全26曲とボリューミーな内容となっている。
さらに収録されている曲や録音メンバーを見て、ワクワクしてしまう。ドクター・ジョンの歌声を聴くことが出来るのも嬉しかったりする。
ポール・サイモンの“Late in the Evening”の曲の良さを改めて感じられるカヴァーが良い。
何度も書いているが、こういったアルバムが埋もれているような気がする。出来るだけ発掘していきたい…。
