ザ・ロイヤル・フィルハーモニック・オーケストラと共演するヴォーカリストで、次に聴きたかったのがロッド・スチュワートだった‼︎その願いが叶ったアルバムがリリースされた。今回は、トレヴァー・ホーンのプロデュース。
ロッドのオリジナル・ヴォーカルと新しいアレンジによるオーケストラとの融合は、かなりいい仕上がりで全米のクラシック・アルバム・チャートで1位となった。
新曲の“Stop Loving Her Today”やロビー・ウィリアムスとのデュエット“It Takes Two”と今のロッドの歌声を聴ける曲もある。
細かく書く必要のないロッドの代表曲がデラックス・エディションでは22曲も収録されている。“Stay With Me”や“Downtown Train”はデラックス・エディションでしか聴けないので要注意‼︎デビュー50周年を記念すべきアルバムとなっている。
聴いておきたいアルバムのひとつ。
