60s New Orleans R&B and Soul: Cracking the Cosimo Code

50〜60年代のニューオリンズ・サウンドを支えてきたコジモ・マタッサのスタジオで録音された音源は“The Cosimo Code”と呼ばれているが、その極一部を集めたエース・レコードの編集盤。
1945年マタッサが18歳の時に設立したJ&Mスタジオ、1956年のコジモ・スタジオでは多くの素敵なニューオリンズ・サウンドが生まれていた。
年代別に並べられているので、音楽的な変化も楽しめる内容となっている。
マタッサは2014年9月11日に永眠されました…哀悼。
