黒人シンガーがカントリー・ソングを歌った曲を集めた、ケント・レコードの企画アルバムの第3弾。
普通なら3枚目となるとクオリティーが落ちることがあるが、奥の深さを感じられるものとなっている。個人的には“カントリー”という呼び方が嫌いなのであまり深くは聴いて無いが、知らない曲にも興味が湧いてくる。それにしても、同じ曲にオリジナリティーを加えて、違った感じの曲仕上げてくる想像力が素晴らしすぎる。
聴いておきたいアルバムのひとつ。
