ポール・キャラックの13枚目のアルバム。キャラックとピーター・ヴァン・フックのプロデュース。
このアルバムはカヴァーを中心にオリジナル曲が収録されている。ヴァラエティに富んだ選曲だが、キャラックの歌心溢れるヴォーカルがたまらなく良い。
イーグルスがカヴァーした“Love Will Keep Us Alive”をセルフ・カヴァーしているのも面白い感じだ。
ニック・ロウの曲を3曲歌っているのも興味深い。“I Live on a Battlefield”はロウとの共作で94年の“The Impossible Bird”に収録されている。
多くの人に受け入れられると思える気軽に聴ける感じの内容だが、キャラックの知名度がイマイチ低いのが残念。
聴いておきたいアルバムのひとつ。
