ヴァン・モリソンの42枚目のアルバム。全28曲、CDは2枚、LPは3枚とフル・ヴォリュームで収録されている。モリソンのセルフ・プロデュース。
コロナ禍でツアーに出られない中、空いた時間で曲を書いて、録音していったようだ。いつもとは違う状況下でも、アイデアを形にして届けてくれるスタンスには感謝しかない。
とはいえ、28曲は多いだろう…って気もする。
安定したサウンドは心地よく身体に染みてくる。ここ20年くらいの音作りは、特に好きな気がする。鍵盤楽器を効果的に使っているのか、歌声に丸みが出ているのか…。なんとなく、集大成のような感じもしている。
聴いておきたいヴァン・モリソンのアルバムのひとつ。
