“アイソラー・ツアー II”から5年…完全復活して音楽シーンに戻ってきたボウイの1983年5月16日から12月8日まで行なわれた“シリアス・ムーンライト・ツアー”のを収録したアルバム。
もともとは映像作品として9月12日のバンクーバー公演を収録し、翌年にVHSとLDがリリースされていた。後の2006年にDVD化されている。2018年のボックス・セット“Loving the Alien”に収録されていたものが単品としてリリースされている。
本編の21曲は欠けることなく収録されているが、アンコールはカットされている。少しだけ嬉しいのは映像に無かった“Modern Love”がアルバムには追加されている。しかし、7月13日のモントリオール公演の音源で、1983年9月にリリースされたシングルのB面に収録されていた音楽だったりする。
このツアーでは、トニー・トンプソンが参加しているので、ボウイの歌声並みに楽しめる。
