リサ・ローブを見てきました。生ギターも声も好みなので、デビューの頃にめちゃくちゃよく聴きましたし、その後もマメにフォローしていたんですが、実際にステージを見るのは初めてでした。

存在感が大きかったから、リサ・ローブが小さな体格で、しかも子供のような服装で出てきたので、ちょっと面喰いました。サポート・メンバーと二人での簡素な演奏でしたが、デビュー前音源「パープル・テープ」のような内容と言えばいいでしょうか、歌のメロディがきれいだから全然飽きなかったです。「25周年記念なのよ」と言いながら始めた"Stay (I Missed You)"はやっぱりよかったです（調べたらチャートNo.1になったのは1994年の8月でした）。

ステージ間の話もなかなか面白くて。「昨日行った店でサニーデイ・サービスの田中さんと友達になった。」とか「私の曲は悲しい曲ばかり。恋が始まって楽しい時には誰も曲を書かないからね。」とか。

キーボードのみをバックにしっとりと2曲歌った後で、雰囲気を変えて「さて、ここで2－3曲リクエストにこたえるわよ、私の曲なら」と客席に訊いてきました。"Lisa Listen"とか「もう一回"Stay"」とか挙がりましたが決まらなくて、ちょっと間が空いてしまった感じだったので "It's Over"と言ってみたら、なんと通りました。僕が抱えていたデビュー作のアナログ盤も、本人が喜んでステージにもっていってくれました。でも、、、始める前から「この曲、しばらくやってないから、許してね」とは言ってましたが、それにしても間違えすぎの、大変残念な演奏でした。

終わった後でサイン会がありまして。その時に「複雑な曲をリクエストしてゴメンね」と言ってきました。多分通じたと思います。長蛇の列でしたから、終わったのは23時40分ごろで、終電に間に合わず、ネットカフェに泊まる羽目になってしまいました。
