「新平家物語」(京都府)
吉川英治の歴史小説（連載;1950～57年）。72年にはNHK大河ドラマの原作になった。
これは京都市左京区の #寂光院 （じゃっこういん）。平清盛の娘・建礼門院徳子（ｹﾝﾚｲﾓﾝｲﾝ-,安徳天皇国母）ゆかりの寺院のもの。人気ドラマの舞台として描かれる興味深い作品。全長61cm。

・経年の劣化・日焼けにより見かけはグレーだが、元は紺色（あるいは青）だったようだ。ペナントの左下に元の紺色が残っている。
・お土産ペナントがブームになった1960年代後半から70年代にかけて、NHK大河ドラマの舞台となった場所が観光地として人気になり、それがペナントのモチーフになることがしばしば見受けられる。このペナントはそのひとつ。

2, イラストは寂光院庭園と建礼門院。
3, イラストの拡大。渡り廊下と"四方正面の池"が描かれているが、ペナントの日焼けのため池らしさは分かりづらい。楕円形の枠に出家姿の建礼門院と、平家物語の有名な冒頭部分「祇園精舎の鐘の声～」がくずし字で描かれている。
4, タイトルは和文。ゴシック体の漢字で "新平家物語" （赤）。キャプションは "寂光院" （黒）。
5, ペナントの右には境内の"雪見燈籠"（ゆきみとうろう）が描かれている。

"新平家物語" The Heike Story, Kyoto Prefecture.
The Heike Story is a best-selling historical novel set in medieval Japan. It was written by Eiji Yoshikawa and turned into a TV drama. This pennant depicts Jakkoin Temple, the setting of the story, and the character Kenreimonin.
Length 61cm （24.0in). This pennant was produced around the 1970s. #vintage

The pennant appears gray due to age and tanning, but it was originally dark blue.

3, Enlarged image. The corridor and the pond of Jakkoin are depicted. In the oval frame, Kenreimonin in her ordained state and the first part of The Heike Story are written in cursive characters.
4, The title is in Japanese. "Shin Heike Monogatari" (The Heike Story, red) in kanji. The caption is "Jakkoin Temple" (black).
5, The pennant also depicts a Yukimi Toro (snow lantern) on the temple grounds to the right of the pennant.
