This "Collection Room" is dedicated to a thorough overview of the Japan hand engraved documentary revenues, showing representative examples of all issues in my private collection to provide systematic information on this classic revenue stamps.

Due to lack of comprehensive information in English, minimal knowledge of this classic revenue stamp has been hitherto shared with philatelic society. This could be understood because we often see that the classic Forbin catalog, issued in the early 1900s, is still used as the reference.

The latest and most detailed information (in English) is considered to be the well known Barefoot catalog. Still, even in this excellent reference, the categorization is insufficient when considering the latest development by Furuya and Hasegawa.

Therefore, I intend to reflect the most recent categorization and additional information in the items displayed in this Collection Room. Thus, I hope this will serve as an online reference archive for the philatelists interested in these attractive and exciting classic revenue stamps.
