Born April 27, 1957 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canadian singer songwriter Tim Feehan began his recording/songwriting career when his college band "Footloose" was asked by a local studio owner to record a song "Leaving for Maui" he'd written in 1979, which went top 10 for several weeks locally and popular also in Hawaii. Following the self-titled album release, the band also released several more singles over 1980 and 1981 with Tim leaving shortly thereafter to pursue a solo career once he completed his degree of sociology at the University of Alberta in 1981. He released 2 solo albums; “Sneak Preview” (1981) and “ Carmalita” (1983).

In 1984, Feehan recorded a single, “Read Between The Lines” that was recorded by David Foster with Steve Lukather on guitar and Fee Waybill doing backing vocals,
since he won the Alberta Recording Association Songwriting competition and the first prize was a recording session with David Foster.
In 1986, Feehan entered a songwriting competition for the song “Where’s The Fire?”. The result was to sign with Scotti Bros/CBS in Los Angeles where he relocated later that year. David Foster produced Feehan’s self-titled debut and then decided to use him as the lead singer for a the David Foster / Lee Ritenour Japan Tour ’in 1987. The self-titled debut album was released in 1987.

In the late 1980s, Feehan signed with MCA records and released his 4th solo album “Full Contact” in 1990. Tim also sang and produced "Dirty Love" for 007 film “Licence to Kill” (1989) and performed on both the Arthur 2: On the Rocks theme and the Dionne Warwick album “Reservations for Two”.
