Bob Carlisle, firstly known as the voice of Allies, one of the best 1980’s CCM rock bands that eleased 6 albums during the 1980’s and early 1990’s. It was 1993 when Carlisle started his solo career, with his self-titled debut album on Sparrow Records. In 1996, Carlisle was recording for the Diadem label, and the album “Shades of Grace” became a CCM hit, propelled by the single "Mighty Love."
In 1997, it happened. Unexpectedly, his single "Butterfly Kisses" became a pop hit. Thus, the album was repackaged and reissued in the spring of 1997 under the title “Butterfly Kisses” and won the 1997 Grammy Award for Best Country Song and three Dove Awards, including Song of the Year. “Stories from the Heart” followed in 1998. “Nothing But the Truth” was released in August 2000.
