Marilyn Scott / Dreams Of Tomorrow

0

Marilyn Scott was born and grew up in southern California. Marilyn moved to San Francisco in early 70's and Emilio Castillo of Tower of Power recognized her gifts as a vocalist and hired her to do backing vocals on Tower Of Power albums such as "Back To Oakland" (1974).
Marilyn Scott's first recording as a solo artist was a single version of Brian Wilson's "God Only Knows'' in 1977 that hit number 61 at the highest on the Billboard Chart and this led to her first album, "Dreams of Tomorrow" for Atco/Atlantic. This first album is full of R&B Jazz funk tastes all through the album. After releasing this first solo album, she released her masterpiece album "Without Warning" as you may be aware.
