Car: Nissan 300ZX V8 GTS #75
Series: 1995 IMSA Daytona 24 Hours
Class: GTS-1
Team: Cunningham Racing
Drivers: Steve Millen, John Morton, Johnny O'Connell
Result: 21st overall, 8th in GTS-1

This was a casting I was looking forward to getting after seeing the preview pictures. I'm really glad I managed to get one loose because I really don't bother too much with the transport trucks included in the Team Transport sets. Though the casting itself is called a 1994 model, the 300ZX only participated in the GTS-1 class in 1995 so that is what I listed this as. The livery is not a perfect replica of the 1995 season car but that is probably due to not having the proper licenses for most of the missing logos. Since this isn't 100% accurate to the season car, I decided to list it as the 1995 Daytona entry which finished 21st overall.

In 1995, the turbo engine that had powered the 300ZX GTS for most of its competitive career was practically outlawed by IMSA after they reduced the maximum horsepower allowed for the GTS-1 class. This resulted in the 1995 300ZX GTS cars using a naturally-aspirated V8 engine. In the 1995 season, the No. 75 crew would manage to win 3 races in the GTS-1 class, including the Sebring 12 Hours that year. Unfortunately though, they lost the championship I believe to Brix Racing's Irv Hoerr and Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme GTS-1 car.
