The De Tomaso Pantera was a mid-engined sports car produced by De Tomaso Automobili from 1971 to 1992. Designed by Tom Tjaarda of Ghia, the Pantera was the successor of the Mangusta and debuted at Modena in 1970. As was tradition with many De Tomaso cars, the Pantera used an American V8, which in this case was a 5.8L Ford Cleveland V8. 7,260 were produced.

This casting is a depiction of a Pantera GTS prepared for Group 4 racing. The "351" number on the side is a reference to the capacity of the engine in cubic inches (351 ci/5.8L). The initial livery of this casting is based on the Panteras run by the De Tomaso works team in Group 4 competition.
