Bryan Duncan / Blue Skies
Bryan Duncan (ex Sweet Comfort Band), the superstar of Contemporary Christian Music is one of the best blue-eyed soul singers. It was 1984 when the Sweet Comfort Band broke up and Bryan started his solo career.I think his Myrrh Records era releases are all superb and said to be golden age of his solo career, personally. 1989: Strong Medicine, 1990: Anonymous Confessions of a Lunatic Friend, 1992: Mercy, 1994: Slow Revival, 1995: My Utmost for His Highest: Quiet Prayers (and Christmas album and Spanish album in the same year), then this Blue Skies” followed in 1996. Personally, my favourite one because of the title track ‘Blue Skies” melody and arrangement, reminding me of mid 60’s Beatles a little bit.
