Little River Band / Where We Started From
Little River Band ... History of the band began in 1974 with Derek Pellicci (ds), Graham Davidge (g), Graham Goble (g, back vo), Beeb Birtles (g, back vo) and Glenn Shorrock (lead vocals). They had many smash hits worldwide in late 70's such as "Help Is On It's Way", "Happy Anniversary" (1977), "Reminiscing" (1978), "Cool Change" and "Lonesome Loser"(1979). In 1980, Wayne Nelson (bass), one of the current members joined the band. "Time Exposure" (1981), the last album featuring the original lead vocalist Glenn Shorrock, also includes smash hits "Take It Easy On Me" and "Man On Your Mind". 1983 was the turning point for the band. after Glenn Shorrock left the band, John Farnham joined and it made the sound of LRB a little bit melodic-hard than Glenn Shorrock era. Stephen Housden (guitar), another current member also joined in the same year. Beeb Birtles left the band before the release of their hard-edge 1984 album "Playing To Win", which was not successful commercially. Thus, Graham Goble went back to their roots full of harmony arrangements and released hidden masterpiece album "No Reins" (1985).
In 1988, Glenn Shorrock came back to the band replacing John Farnham, and released the good album "Monsoon" (1988). Graham Goble left after the release of the "Get Lucky" (1990), They released the album "Worldwide Love" in 1991 with remarkable additional musicians such as Tony Sciuto (keyboards, guitar , vocals) and Peter Beckett (guitar, vocals). On their live album "Live Classics" (1992), Peter Beckett is credit as the full-time member of LRB. After Tony and Peter Beckett have left LRB by the end of 1997, Stephen Housden reformed the group, using guests from his and Graham Goble's solo works, Steve Wade (lead vocal) and first LRB bassist, Roger McLachlan. In late 1999, Steve Wade left to pursue a solo career. And in 2000, Wayne Nelson(bass) took over the lead vocal parts also well-known for his fantastic project LA Cowboys "Endless Summer" release with James Studer. Wayne Nelson does well on this studio recording album as then new lead vocalist under the big name "Little River Band".
