Kevyn Lettau / Walking In Your Footsteps
Kevyn Lettau became well-known among L.A. music scenes when she participated in Sergio Mendes group in mid 1980's. Kevyn did many session vocal works on Contemporary Jazz / Brazillian-Jazz albums such as Lee Ritenour's "Portrait" (1987) and Dori Caymmi's "Brazilian Serenata" (1988), which brought her a chance to make her own albums. Kevyn released her 1st solo album "Kevyn Lettau" in 1991 for Nova, followed by "Braziljazz" with the guitarist Peter Sprague and percussionist Michael Shapiro in the same year. Kevyn succeeded to establish her popularity as a charming female NAC (New Adult Contemporary) vocalist by those albums. Kevyn's 3rd album "Simple Life" was released under JVC Music, USA in 1992, followed by "Another Season" (1994).
Her 5th solo album "Universal Language" (1995) was a little different from her previous albums, on which Kevyn seemed to seek for possibility as an more pop-oriented female singer. The following 1998 album "Language Of Flowers" revealed new Kevyn Lettau as an more pop-oriented Adult Contemporary female singer. On this album, Kevyn covers songs of the Police with her own interpretation, which revealed her excellent musical talent.
