Danny Wayland Seals, aka Dan Seals or England Dan, the younger brother of Jim Seals from the Seals and Crofts, began the duo with John Colley (aka John Ford Coley), his high school classmate in mid 1960’s. The duo signed with A&M Records in 1970 and released the first album as England Dan & John Ford Coley in 1971. "Simone". the single from 1972 second album “Fables” became smash hit in Japan and France. "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight" written by Parker McGee from their 1976 album “Nights Are Forever” peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The duo split in 1980 when Seals decided to pursue solo career.
"Stones" is his first solo album produced by Kyle Lehning, the producer for England Dan Seals and John Ford Coley, also known for his production of Wilson Bros, a masterpiece of AOR / Westcoast. In addition to names of the musicians for the recording including Steve Lukather, Mike Baird, Ed Greene, David Foster and Tom Kelly, songwriters are remarkable. “How Do I Survive” is written by Paul Bliss, “Holdin' Out For Love” is written by Cynthia Weil, Tom Snow.
