Come Rain Or Come Shine

Typical expectations in 1990’s to Bobby Caldwell was his golden late 1970’s and 1980’s AOR Caldwell album release as the king of AOR. The very last 1990’s album was again not such one. It was his Standard Jazz Vocal album again, as the former album "Blue Condition". Therefore I was afraid that many AOR fans were disappointed. Having said that, when I listened to the album just only as a Standard Jazz Vocal album, it must deserve to be applauded. That's the reason why I reviewed the album in April 1994 on my original Adult Contemporary Music In Japan website, the album had a original song "April Moon" written by Caldwell among the greatest standard numbers. "April Moon" has the same level quality as those standard numbers, which shown Caldwell’s awesome talent as a songwriter.
The only thing I could not understand was that "Come To Me" remastered version was added as the bonus track for Japanese release, which destroyed the album totality and almost no value for fans because that was just a remastered version. No meaning! I guess why such stupid thing had happen as follows: at early stage of the release information of this album, the new version of "Come To Me" would be included on this album, but no new recording was carried out and as the result Japanese recording company could not help adding the meaningless remastered version to this album.
A few month later, the US edition of the album was released with different track order and “Beyond The Sea” (taken from 1996 album “Blue Condition”) was added. And when the album was reissued by Victor Entertainment Japan in 2005 and 2013, two bonus tracks were added as shown below.
