Tim Heintz / Lost And Found

Tim Heintz is one of the best Los Angeles based composers, arrangers and keyboard players writing beautiful melodies. Even if you should not be interested in AOR / Westcoast / Smooth Jazz, probably you probably experienced Heintz music and felt happy somewhere. Heintz composed and arranged many for Disney Parks, Sea World and Universal Studios. Some of his compositions reminds me of David Foster's good-old ones. After touring the world with artists including Michael McDonald, Chaka Khan, Boz Scaggs and Don Henley, he turned his focus to studio work, arranging and writing for a wide variety of projects, and as a keyboard player, you will find him on the albums of acclaimed artists such as Dionne Farris, Wendy Moten, Vesta Williams and Natelie Cole.

Turning my eyes to his solo works, his albums topped the Billboard Jazz charts in the late 1980s. Heintz released three contemporary Jazz albums on TBA Records USA; “Quiet Time” in 1987, “Searching The Heart” in 1988 and self-titled album in 1989. In early 1990’s Heintz released two solo albums only for Japan on Warp / Alfa Records, Inc, Japan; “Angel Coast” in 1990 and “ Summer Rain” in 1992.
This CD “Lost And Found” is the collection album, selected from his five solo albums; first solo "Quiet Time" (1987) - fifth solo "Summer Rain" (1992). In addition to instrumental compositions, several vocal tunes are featured.
