Player / Room With A View

After the release of their second album "Danger Zone" (1978) and US tour, a founder of the group and the co-writer of their debut hit "Baby Come Back" singer / guitarist,, left the band due to the difference of musical direction from Peter Beckett.
Whilst Crowley started as a songwriter signing with RCA Record and wrote “I Want You I Need You” and other six songs with Chris Christian for 1981 Chris Christian’s self-titled album on Boardwalk,
Beckett successfully signed with Casablanca Records to release the third album of the band Player since RSO Records folded.

With two guest musicians; Miles Joseph (vocals, guitar) and Gabriel Katona (keyboards, ex-Rare Earth), Beckett, Moss and Friesen went in the studio for the third album, Room With a View" produced by Peter Beckett with Tony Peluso, that was very similar in style to "Danger Zone". Although the album had Beckett's good ballads "It's For You" and "Givin' It All", the band failed in terms of sales. By the end of the tour Ron Moss left the band becoming an actor in the TV series "The Bold and the beautiful".
