Bobby King got a chance to release several singles in 1973 supported by Ry Cooder. Since then, Ry Cooder placed Bobby as the front vocalist on his mid/late 1970's albums such as "Bop 'Til You Drop" (1979). The success with Ry Cooder gave Bobby solo artist deal. This is Bobby King's first solo album "Bobby King" (1981) produced by Steve Barri. As you know, there are several Black AOR masterpiece albums such as Leslie Smith's "Heartache". This album is said to be another fine Black AOR album in early 1980's supported by first call Los Angeles musicians including David Foster, Jay Graydon, Michael Omartian and Bill Champlin. Apart from the record, a trivia fir you. You see Tamara Matoesian as a background vocalist as below. Yes, she is Tamra Champlin.
