Leon Ware is well known for his songwriting work "I Want You" performed by Marvin Gaye. This is his fifth solo album and his final release for Elektra Records, and second self-titled album after his 1972 debut album. which is full of Black AOR taste because this album was supported by many Westcoast greatest musicians such as David Foster, Jeff Porcaro, David Paich, Steve Lukather, Bill Champlin and Geoff Leib (aka Jeff Paris). Speaking of reissue on CD, the earliest one was done in Japan by Elektra (East West Japan) in 1998. Since then, reissued CDs have been available here in Japan because the album is said to be one of the must-have early 1980’s AOR albums over the decade.
