Caravan Of Dreams

1986 Sembello’s second solo album “Without Walls” was not successful in terms of commercial sales. As a result, it was 1992 when Sembello released his third solo album in limited number of Asian countries; needless to say, Japan was the main country to release Sembello’s solo works including this album since then.
Looking back Sembello’s appearances on (and contributions to) other major artists albums in USA in late 80’s, Sembello wrote and played / programmed synth and added vocals to the song The Dream” for David Sanborn’s “A Change Of Heart” (1987) and a wrote song “First Step” for Pebbles self-titled debut album (1987).

Some of the songs on this Sembello’s solo album were recorded earlier. In 1990, The original version of "Movers and Shakers" was on Richard Elliot’s album "What's Inside". "Heavy Weather" was originally performed by Diana Ross on her album "The Force Behind The Power" in 1991.
And, "Heavy Weather" and "Black Rain (Miles To Go)" were covered by Carl Anderson on his album "Heavy Weather Sunlight Again" (GRP GRD-9778) in 1994.

FYI, The album “Caravan Of Dreams” was also released in the South East Asian countries such as Indonesia and Malaysia a bit later than Japan with different tracks (“Sahara” in Indonesian and Malay language, “The Cure For Love“ in Indonesian language as “Obat Sinta”, and “Impian Kafila”).
