By 2008, the GT1 class in the ALMS was pretty much dead. The only competitors were basically the 2 factory Corvette Racing entries and the Bell Motorsports Aston Martin which only competed in select rounds. The #3 Corvette driven by Jan Magnussen and Johnny O'Connell would win the inter-team battle and take the GT1 class championship. 2008 would be the last full season for the GT1 cars in the ALMS. In 2009, Corvette Racing would only run them for 2 rounds I guess as some sort of warm-up for Le Mans before switching to the GT2 version of the car.
This car came in a 2-pack which also contained a blue and white 1968 Chevrolet Corvette L-88 (C3).
