Green Eyed Radio
After releasing third album “Red Wine & Lemonade” in 1993, PM was ended. Almost 3 years later Peter Mayer came back with his first solo album “Green Eyed Radio”, the first pressing ofwhich was self-released and thus no label no catalog number. Soon, the CD was re-released and widely distributed in USA by Pool Party Records. As you see , Roger Guth and Jim Mayer, both ex PM members supported the album production. And we could see Mayer’s live shows promoting Green Eyed Radio featuring Roger Guth when I could attend Disneyland Paris show in 1997. “Shall We Dance” must be one of Peter Mayer’s killer tracks and its promotional video was well produced. Release: 1995 Label: none Tracks: 1. Green Eyed Prelude 2. All The Tea In China 3. Shall We Dance 4. Send Me The Love 5. In The Meantime 6. The Onion 7. Michaelangelo 8. Under Your Spell 9. A Lyre In A Windstorm
Whilst Bruce Gaitsch produces and writes rock songs, he has also classical sense of music. His trademark must be acoustic guitar performance. In early and mid 1990’s Bruce was busy with Tommy Funderburk to release King Of Hearts albums and/or produced Fee Waybill, George Hawkins and Cy Curnin (Fixx) under his Edge of Fluke Music Group, Bruce also recorded his solo materials. The result was this first solo album featuring his old dudes; Richard Marx, Bill Champlin, Marc Jordan, Timothy B Schmit and many others. Needless to say p, with his spouse Janey Clewer. Very gentle album. After being released first in Japan and Sweden, German edition with a bonus track followed. Brothertime / Just The Begining
When I listened to Brother Time’s album first time, it reminded me of the high-tensioned energy and aggressive sounds like those when I listened to Toto’s sensational debut album in late 70’s. There were not detailed information of this excellent project suddenly appeared and disappeared very soon releasing an album in 1995, then. Judging from the fact that all songs except tracks 11 & 12, were composed by Trevor Gordon and Jojo Alves and lyrics were by Brook Walsh, the project must have been started by those rather than Michael Sembello who co-wrote track 12 with three guys, that’s my personal guess. Particularly the track 11 “Reach For The Dream” must be added because of commercial reasons, I believe. As a matter of fact, track 11 was written and recorded later by Michael Sembello and Michell Hart (credited as Executive Producer) with a Japanese guy for the opening ceremony of Japanese football league all-star match of the year. Jojo Alves born in Portugal and raised in South Africa moved to Los Angeles and started the Brother Time with Trevor Gordon and released this album. It seemed that Jojo joined the band The Fleshdevils in mid 90’s after this project and recorded an album in UK with drummer Charlie Morgan (the drummer for Elton John). Release: 20 October, 1995 Label : Canyon International, Japan (PCCY-00854) Tracks 1. Brother Time 2. Gallileo 3. Something For Nothing 4. White Lies 5. In Candy's Bedroom 6. Anaconda 7. Janey
The first solo album of Janey. Janey wrote all materials by herself except "Can't Let You Go With My Heart" with Linda Thompson. In addition to Janey's gentle vocals and keyboards/piano performance, you should focus Janey's sequencing and drum programming, which was said to be really excellent. You might be aware that Richard Marx was singing background vocals on "Can't Let You Go With My Heart".
