Sibling Revelry / Stonger
The second Sibling Revelry album “Stronger” followed in 1991. With the self-titled first album, this album was reissued on CD by Cool Sound, Japan on 25 December 1998 (COOL 019). As you see the credit as shown below, they had certain acclaimed Los Angeles top session musicians such as Abraham Laboriel, Justo Almario, Peter Sprague and David Huff. The result was really of high quality. Having said that, a cappella song “Jonah” is the highlight of this album, I think. It reminds listeners of Manhattan Transfer’s perfect harmony and the same time a kind of musical tune. Again, this album was originally released only on cassette tape in 1991. 7 years later, COOL Sound, Japan firstly re-released the album on CD. Well done! Sibling Revelry / Sibling Revelry
Bill Cantos was performing with his sisters; Rita and Roxanne in late 1980’s and early 1990’s as Sibling Revelry. Two cassette albums of the vocal trio were released, and the first one was self-titled and it is interesting that we can llisten to the track “What Would You Do For A King?”, later self-covered on Bill Cantos’ album “Who Are You”. 10 years later, the cassette album was finally reissued on CD by Cool Sound, Japan, with three bonus tracks from Bill’s elder sister, Rita Cantos Cartwright‘s 1981 album “Light Of Heaven". Rita spent over decades with San Diego Opera Chorus, as well as frequently singing the national anthem before local sporting events. Release:1988 Label: Erini Productions Tracks: 1. So Happy 2. PM / Street Of Dreams
In spite of commercial success, Warner Bros. did not support PM well enough and obliged to decide to leave the label in 1989. They made a decision to start back in the clubs again, trying out the new songs on the hometown audience. In 1990, the second album "Street Of Dreams" was recorded at the home studio of Jay Oliver and released only on a cassette. The CD version "Street Of Dreams" (1993 limited edition of 2,500 copies) includes "Love Blue", "Kiss And Tell", "Cowboys And Indians" and "Rose In The Rain" additionally recorded in 1991, instead of "Room For Love". It is not known that Jason Scheff joined them on backup vocals on the title track "Street Of Dreams" because we could not find guest credit on the album booklet or back inlay.
