In A Dream
Lionel's Dad = Mark T. Williams released his third solo project album "In A Dream". Comparing with his first and second album, this is a little hard-edge one. Without Joseph Williams' featuring vocals, the opening track "Scream" is the average-level heavy blues rock tune I think that third track "Rhythm Of Love" has too heavy melody for Mark T.'s soft voice. Fourth track "Take Your Time" is very comfortable tune and this is what I expected for Mark T. Williams. Sixth track "I Don't Want To Say Goodbye" and seventh track "All That Heart" are very good. I do not like eighth one "I Desire You" because this is not melodic, like punk-rock. After boring track, the killer track "Don't Ask Me" would follow. Tenth track "Forver" is typical Mark T's tune. Eleventh and twelfth track are not matching with my personal taste. The last track "The Children Are Singing" is very good. After all, how should I grade this album? From the viewpoint of unity as an album, I could not give this album the average rating because I know Mark T. could make better album like his first and second solo album. Driving Music
Mark T. Williams (Lionel's Dad) released his 2nd solo album in April 1998, which followed his 1995 first solo album under the name of Lionel’s Dad. Mark plays almost all of the instruments such as Guitars, Bass, Hammond Organ and Keyboards as well as Drums/ Percussion. Naturally Mark’s vocals remind you of those of his younger brother Joseph, particularly when listening to the opening track "Looking For An Answer". The self-released first solo CD was released under the name of Lionel’s Dad in 1985, featuring “A Thousand Years”, originally performed by his younger brother Joseph on Toto’s album “ Seventh One” in 1988. As you see, Mark’s voices would be a bit softer than that of Joseph. Release: 1995 Label: Andromeda Discs, USA (AND01) Tracks: 1. All Used Up 2. That Girls Heart 3. I'll Run If I Have To 4.
