It was Franklin's first release under her contract with the label, following her departure from Columbia Records after nine unsuccessful Jazz standard albums, and marked a commercial breakthrough for her, becoming her first top 10 album in the United States, reaching number 2 on the Billboard 200. Two singles were released to promote the album: "Respect" and "I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You)". The former topped the Billboard Hot 100, while latter reached the top 10. Although released to mixed critical response, the album over the years has been reappraised and is now regarded among one of the greatest and most influential albums, being included in Rolling Stone's "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" list, as well as in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. The second single from the album "Respect" became Franklin's signature song and is ranked by the Rolling Stone as the greatest song of all-time.

The Police / Synchronicity (US, A&M Records, A&M SP-3735) <June 17, 1983> 【日本語Wiki】 本作のジャケットは、イギリス盤と日本盤は1種類であるが、オリジナルのアメリカ盤ではメンバーのモノクロ写真の配列パターンと、青、赤、黄の順番が異なったもの、青、赤、黄の代わりに金、銀、銅が印刷されているもの、色が印刷されていないものなど多岐にわたり、ゴールドマイン誌によると93種類が確認されたという。 【英語Wiki】 Artwork The album's original cover artwork, conceived by Jeff Ayeroff and Norman Moore, consisted of a series of photographs overlaid with transparent horizontal stripes of blue, red and yellow. The album was available in 36 variations, with different arrangements of the colour stripes and showing different photographs of the band members, taken by Duane Michals. In the most common version Sting is reading a copy of Jung's Synchronicity on the front cover along with a superimposed negative image of the actual text of the synchronicity hypothesis. A photo on the back cover also shows a close-up, but mirrored and upside-down, image of Jung's book. The original vinyl release was pressed on audiophile vinyl which appears black like most records, but is actually purple when held up to the light. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svWINSRhQU0 [Verse 1] You consider me the young apprentice Caught between the Scylla and Charibdis Hypnotized by you if I should linger Staring at the ring around your finger I have only come here seeking knowledge Things they would not teach me of in college I can see the destiny you sold Turn into a shining band of gold [Chorus] I'll be wrapped around your finger I'll be wrapped around your finger [Verse 2] Mephistopheles is not your name But I know what you're up to just the same I will listen hard to your tuition And you will see it come to its fruition [Chorus] I'll be wrapped around your finger I'll be wrapped around your finger [Verse 3] Devil and the deep blue sea behind me Vanish in the air you'll never find me I will turn your flesh to alabaster When you find your servant is your master [Outro] And you'll be wrapped around my finger http://oyogetaiyakukun.blogspot.com/2014/02/wrapped-around-your-finger-police.html

It features tracks from a 1951 session at Apex Studios, remastered in 1956 by Rudy Van Gelder. First released in the twelve-inch format in 1956, Dig was later reissued as a compact disc with additional tracks. After inaugurating the school of "cool jazz" with "the Birth of the Cool" recording sessions in 1949 and 1950, Davis almost immediately turned away from that sound in the early 1950s, instead exploring hard bop. "Dig" was also the jazz recording debut of saxophonist Jackie McLean, and was one of Sonny Rollins's earliest recordings; both men would go on to become major voices in jazz.

Led Zeppelin / Led Zeppelin II (US, Atlantic, SD 8236) <October 22, 1969>
Led Zeppelin / Led Zeppelin II (US, Atlantic, SD 8236) <October 22, 1969> (ONE) T ST-A-691671-1A (TWO) T 1 ST-A-691672-D "Led Zeppelin II" is the second album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released on 22 October 1969 in the United States and on 31 October 1969 in the United Kingdom by Atlantic Records. Recording sessions for the album took place at several locations in both the United Kingdom and North America from January to August 1969. The album's production was credited to the band's lead guitarist and songwriter Jimmy Page, and it was also Led Zeppelin's first album on which Eddie Kramer served as engineer. It was entirely recorded using the core band members, Page (guitar), Robert Plant (vocals, harmonica), John Paul Jones (bass, keyboards) and John Bonham (drums). The album exhibited the band's evolving musical style of blues-derived material and their guitar riff-based sound. It has been described as the band's heaviest album.[1] Six of the nine songs were written by the band, while the other three were reinterpretations of Chicago blues songs by Willie Dixon and Howlin' Wolf. One single, "Whole Lotta Love", was released outside of the UK (the band would release no UK singles during their career), and peaked as a top-ten single in over a dozen markets around the world. "Led Zeppelin II" was a commercial success, and was the band's first album to reach number one on charts in the UK and the US. The album's cover designer David Juniper was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Recording Package in 1970. On 15 November 1999, the album was certified 12× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales passing 12 million copies. Since its release, various writers and music critics have regularly cited Led Zeppelin II as one of the greatest and most influential albums of all time.

The Miles Davis Quintet / Workin' With The Miles Davis Quintet (US, Prestige, PRLP 7166) <December 1959> (Side A) RVG PRLP 7166 A (Side B) RVG PRLP 7166 B Trumpet – Miles Davis Tenor Saxophone – John Coltrane Piano – Red Garland Bass – Paul Chambers Drums – "Philly" Joe Jones Recorded By – Rudy Van Gelder プレステッジ・レコードはオフィスをニュー・ヨークに構えていたため、PRLP 7141(Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis “The Eddie Davis Cookbook”)まではラベルの住所末尾がN.Y.C. Miles Davis Quintet - It Never Entered My Mind https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Np8PJDGq_A You're My Everything"、"Steamin'"の"When I Fall in Love"が死ぬほど好きです。
