For the first time on CD: the complete organ works by Walther! Johann Gottfried Walther (1684-1748, a near contemporary of Bach) spent the major part of his life as the organist of the Church of St. Peter and Paul in Weimar, where he also was teacher of the Duke of Weimar. He formed a close friendship with Johann Sebastian Bach, of whom he was a second cousin. Walther’s organ music may be divided into a large corpus of Chorale settings, in which he followed the tradition of Bach, and the transcriptions of fashionable concertos by composers like Telemann, Albinoni, Torelli, Vivaldi, Gentili and many others.
Stan Getz - "Stan Getz Bossa Nova Years" Stan Getz was an American jazz saxophonist. Playing primarily the tenor saxophone, he was known as "The Sound" because of his warm, lyrical tone, his prime influence being the wispy, mellow timbre of his idol, Lester Young. Coming to prominence in the 1940s with Woody Herman's big band, he's described by critic Scott Yanow as "one of the all-time great tenor saxophonists." The 5CD set includes the following titles, Big Band Bossa Nova, Jazz Samba, Jazz Samba Encore!, Getz/Gilberto & Getz/Almeida

グレートはメンデルスゾーンの交響曲『イタリア』とカップリングになっていますが、こちらも素晴らしい演奏です。
申し訳ありません。「オルガンの名手」はブルックナーでした。紛らわしい表現で失礼しました。
