自身のレーベル“KK Records”からリリースされた、クリス・クリストファーソンのアルバム。タマラ・サヴィアーノとショーン・キャンプのプロデュース。
1999年にリリースされた“The Austin Sessions”のように、クリストファーソンが書いた曲のセルフ・カヴァーに加えて、新曲も収録されている。今回は2枚組で、今のクリストファーソンを堪能出来る。
前回とは違って、ゲストは“The Loving Gift”で素敵なヴォーカルを聴かせてくれているシェリル・クロウだけとなっている。
“The Austin Sessions”とは7曲重なっているが、アレンジが違っているので2度楽しめる感じがする。
個人的には年を重ねてからのセルフ・カヴァって、味わいが深く増しているようで好きかもしれない。
聴いておきたいアルバムのひとつ。
