名曲だらけの「つづれおり」（1971年2月10日発売）から最初にシングル・カットされたのは"It's Too Late / I Feel the Earth Move"（April 1971）で、2枚目のシングルはこの "So Far Away / Smackwater Jack"でした。
このアルバムからのシングルは、なんとこの2枚だけ。"You've Got A Friend"、"It's Too Late"、"Will You Love Me Tomorrow?" などの代表曲がシングル・カットされていないとは知りませんでした。

Wikiでこのシングルの発売日が「1971年3月」になってるのは間違いのはずです。
探しましたが、正確な発売日は分かりませんでした。
