ニール・ヤングの"Comes a Time"(1978年)に続く10作目のオリジナル・アルバム。Little Wingは1975年のロサンゼルス録音、Old Homesteadは1974年にエリオット・メイザーとナッシュヴィルで録音、Lost in Spaceが1980年フロリダ録音、Captain Kennedyが1980年マリブ録音、・・・とにかく場所も時期もメチャクチャという、来歴の明瞭ではない作品群が収録されています。
ただ、聴いた印象はわりと一貫していて、苦にはなりません。

He lost his wooden schooner

I saw him in Nassau in 1971

He worked 'til his fingers
wore to the bone
To buy that wooden schooner
and sail on his own.
He was known in the islands
as hundred foot iron
That steel hull freighter
was passin' its time
And time flew by faster
with life on the sea
And the days grew shorter
for Captain Kennedy.
